So my name is Matt Nichols and I am a 23 year old Kingstonian. I have lived here pretty much my entire life. I could go on all day telling you about my past and what not but it will take too long and most of it is boring anyways, so I will skip ahead to why I started this blog.
A couple years ago I lost my drivers license and was forced to go from riding my bike as a hobby and start riding as full time transport. I fell in love with bicycling hold heartedly and start working at a bike shop, there I learned to tweak with bicycles and was able to afford to buy different styles of bikes. Heres where I realized that most the bikes I bought only had some features I was after, no one really offered bikes that had everything I wanted built into them. So I decided the only solution was to build my own.
So I started taking welding classes and looking around for bicycle frame building schools. Shortly after my search I was chatting with a friend online who has a company building bikes Nemesis Project. Brad offered to take my under his wing and teach me the inner working of the bicycle industry as well as manufacturing and prototyping. I couldn't say no to the opportunity so I started making plans to head down south to visit Brad.
So that brings me to this blog, I am embarking on a journey to learn how to build bikes, but coming from a smallish town going to a bigger city I thought I would share my pictures and experiences along the way. So keep checking in.
